The perfect angel theme for your perfect wedding
He was sent from heaven,
from God himself! Caring, warm, sensitive and you couldn't
love anyone more. When he asked you to marry him, you just
knew you had to reflect the perfect heaven that your romance
has been. There's no better way to do that than to have an
Angel theme for your wedding? Whether it's closer to Christmas
time or Valentine's Day, angels are a wonderful way to bring
a heavenly theme to your perfect day. Find what you need right
here!
Blessed by the angels, the love of your life has been brought
to you in a special way. Now you want to show the world how
special your love really is. It was nothing short of a miracle
that your wedding day finally came, but Cupid has been working
overtime for you and your loved one, so why not pay him back
by inviting him to the ceremony.
Planning a unique angel wedding is easier than you might
think. From invitations to decorations, an angel theme is
a beautiful way to profess your love! Incorporating an angel
theme into a Christmas or Valentine’s Day celebration,
which have angels as a part of their theme already makes planning
your perfect day even easier! Here are some suggestions.
Depending on the time of year, an outdoor wedding ceremony
in a breezy coastal location creates a magical ambience. However,
if an inside wedding is your piece of cake (no pun intended)
taking an angel theme to the pews and steeples of the church
can be done with the help of your local party store and lighting
store.
Churches that have high cathedral ceilings and stained glass
windows make a perfect setting for your angel theme wedding.
Long and flowing sheer fabric cut and draping multiple sections
from the ceiling coupled with blue and silver flowers adorned
in the center make an ultra feminine theme and creates a beautiful
back drop for wedding photos. Making sure the bridesmaid dresses
are simple and cream colored with the groomsmen wearing gray
or cream colored tuxedos, the flower girl and ring bearer
will top off the “angel” look by wearing similar
colors. The ring bearer’s pillow and the flower girl’s
basket can be decorated with the same colors hung high from
the church’s ceiling to bring it all together.
Stringing lights across the altar, the pews and the runner
to the front of the church will create a magical light and
the bride should wear a flowing gown that fits the romantic
atmosphere. Placing feathers in the bride’s hair or
a halo around an up-do compliments the gown’s romantic
look and just the right make up look can give an angelic glow
to the bride’s face.
For the reception, have someone do an angel ice sculpture.
Mimic the decorations done in the church for the ceremony
in the reception hall. Ceilings draped with tulle, gathered
in the middle with the blue and silver-cloud-like fabric used
also on the table center pieces and lit from the center to
the walls will be marvelous! Make sure all of the accessories,
cake knife set, cake top, gift basket, etc. all carry an angel
theme. Decorate the tables with little white feathers surrounding
a taper candle with a glass hurricane lamp (to protect the
little feathers from burning) and use placeholders with your
guest’s names on angel themed cards. White chairs draped
with tulle or sheer fabric and brought together with angel’s
wings adds an elegant, expensive look to the reception hall,
taking away from the metallic, cold emptiness most halls and
annexes naturally carry with them.
Music and food can also carry the angel theme. Soft romantic
music should be the goal with a modern touch. Light angel-food
cake served with fruits (of the Gods, of course) (buffalo)
wings…just kidding!
